About the Conference

An Academia–Industry Discourse

Bridging "the gown and the town" — fostering dialogue, collaboration, and innovation to advance Africa's sustainable development agenda.

The 2026 TU/IMLPD Academic–Industry Conference brings together scholars, industry leaders, policymakers, and students to explore how digital transformation can accelerate the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) across Africa.

Trinity University in collaboration with IMLPD co-hosts this platform, creating pathways for knowledge exchange, research dissemination, and stakeholder engagement across sectors. A specialized workshop on Blockchain Technology and Business Sustainability runs on April 8–9, 2026.

Accepted abstracts will be published in the E-Proceedings from 30th March – 4th April 2026. Expected participation: 1,000+ delegates in-person and virtual/hybrid.

"This conference bridges the gown and the town — bringing academic rigour into direct dialogue with industry practice to tackle Africa's most pressing development challenges."

— Prof. Clement O.O. Kolawole, Vice-Chancellor, Trinity University
